Concerto for Choir and Cafeteria

Prelude

I’ve got a suspicious hunch
We’re having a rotten lunch
It looks like goo
It still goes “Moo”
And chews like shoe leather,
But with a crunch

We’ll certainly need renewed
Intestinal fortitude
As well as Gelusil, Rolaids and gallons of Pepton Bismol

Where’s The Beef?

This piece of beef is really past its prime
Born just before
Zsa Zsa Gabor
All green and slimy, chewier than glue
Must have come from the zoo
So if you find my beef
Upon the floor
That’s one more piece for you

The Spelling Fly

In today’s noodle soup, alphabetic
There’s a fly looking weak and pathetic
In the noodles he spells out a message
SOS send a raft or canoe
Look! The fly still continues the message ,
And P.S. I did not like the stew

Leftover Surprise

What’s that stuff that smells so raw?
Looks like stuff we’ve had before
Taste buds, brace yourselves now
For leftover surprise
“Yuucchh!”
Onion, lemon, garlic
Broccoli with cheese and breadcrumbs
To disguise the other stuff that lies inside
Of the leftover surprise
Cabbage, pickles, jelo, lima beans in combination
Only means that my poor stomach lining dies in digesting
Leftover surprise!
